Exion can be suitable for all skin types. It can be particularly suitable for those with deeper wrinkles, scarring and skin damage since the treatment targets deeper layers of the skin than alternative methods.

There are some contraindications for the treatment. These can include active infections or open wounds, as microneedles might worsen infections or hinder healing. Skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea . Those with bleeding disorders or on blood-thinning medications may experience increased bleeding and longer healing times. Those with a history of skin cancer or undergoing cancer treatments may also be unsuitable, as the procedure’s effects on skin cells and healing might interfere with the efficacy of cancer therapy.

The EXION FRF™ can treat a variety of areas on both the face and body. Some of the most common areas that can be treated include the face, neck and abdomen.

We ask that you keep the area treated dry and clean for a minimum of 24 hours. Most patients report that the redness has subsided within 12 – 24 hours.

Many patients start to see results during their course, however optimal results are seen at 3 months following on from your last session.

Please come to your appointment hydrated and make up free (if we are treating your face), please also refrain from tanning or tanning beds two weeks prior to your treatment and the use of any retinols. We attach a grounding pad to the back of your shoulder, so many find it easier to wear a vest top, something that we can easily access.

Your face (or area to be treated) will have a strong topical numbing cream applied and this will be left on for 20-30 minutes. This will then be removed, a section at a time, the area will be cleaned and then treated.

Please keep the area make up free, dry and clean. No sweating, working out, sauna, steam or swimming for three days post treatment.
