Things To Know
Am I suitable for EXION™ Face & Body?
Exion can be suitable for all skin types. It can be particularly suitable for those with deeper wrinkles, scarring and skin damage since the treatment targets deeper layers of the skin than alternative methods.
There are some contraindications for the treatment. These can include active infections or open wounds, as microneedles might worsen infections or hinder healing. Skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea . Those with bleeding disorders or on blood-thinning medications may experience increased bleeding and longer healing times. Those with a history of skin cancer or undergoing cancer treatments may also be unsuitable, as the procedure’s effects on skin cells and healing might interfere with the efficacy of cancer therapy.

Is there any downtime?
You may experience some redness but this mostly subsides within the hours following your treatment.
When will I see results?
Many patients start to see results during their course, however optimal results are seen at 3 months following on from your last session.
Before your appointment
Please come to your appointment hydrated and make up free. We attach a grounding pad to the back of your shoulder, so many find it easier to wear a vest top, something that we can easily access.
During your appointment
Your face (or area to be treated) will be cleaned and the ultrasound gel will be applied. Your practitioner will then begin the treatment. You will feel heat whilst the applicator is moved over the area, but at no point should this be painful.
